Day 007 – Quality Vs. Quantity. Who Wins?

Most of us know it is quality. But, does the real world make that debatable?

Working on big construction projects teaches me a lot about the politics that goes on in business.

What do you think should happen? How should it happen?

Let me know in the comments.

Hi Eyram, From doing a few projects during my time in school, I have learned that in the debate of quantity vs. quality, quality produces more quantity in the long run. Like you were saying in your example, you were studying boiler configurations for HVAC systems in schools. The studying you do now and the time you spend now learning the different configurations and any other nuances that go along with HVAC systems may stop you from producing quantity. However, the quality of your work will be great because you spent time doing the research. Also, in the future it will be easy for you to implement any one of those configs that you learned in future designs, therefore leading to more quantity and quality. It is a win-win situation!!

So true! The win-win situation comes when you focus your energy on doing it efficiently rather than producing as fast garbage. The interesting thing is how you use the quality to "break rules" and produce more-than-ordinary results... That's awesome ;)
